Bernard Moore was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey. Inspired by his Grandfather, Master-Tailor, Frederick Moore, Bernard demonstrated interest and ability as a fashion designer beyond his years, starting at an early age. After graduating from Arts High School he went on to attend Virginia Wesleyan College. There he declared a major of Business Administration with a minor in Art/Illustration, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
As a professional swimwear designer and fashion stylist, Bernard enjoys the reputation of being one of the most recognizable personalities to emerge from the “urban underground” fashion community. Working with artists like 50 Cent and T.I., and custom designing swimwear for such notable glamour model/actresses as Melyssa Ford, Gloria Velez and Sundy Carter (to name a few), Bernard Moore is widely considered one of the nation’s preeminent up-and-coming swimwear designers. “I feel uniquely positioned for success as a swimwear designer” Bernard explains, “I have learned to incorporate my varied business experience with my passion as a creative person”. Recently elected Central Jersey Chapter President of the National Association of Fashion and Accessory Designers (NAFAD), Bernard Moore is poised to make his own indelible mark on the business of swimwear.
