My name is Joseph Nelson. I am 22 years old and currently working as an IT professional in Central Virginia while I pursue my true career choice as an actor and model. I delved into the entertainment industry as a child living in New York, but was forced to temporarily give it up when my family moved to my current home. My passion for it has been rekindled since completing my education and I am once again fully dedicated to it. I have completed my first photoshoot and am now seeking any acting or modelling opportunities that will further my experience and portfolio. I am highly dedicated, highly motivated, and acutely aware of my gifts and areas of talent.

My youthful appearance allows me to pass for a wide range of ages, and so I could play parts anywhere from mid teen years to late twenties or even thirties. My Korean-American parentage has given me predominantly Asian facial characteristics, with a mix of Caucasian. My hair is capable of being styled for a broad range of looks. I can wear either glasses or contact lenses. My skin tone is tan, with almost no body hair. Most importantly, I am as equally passionate about physical fitness as I am about my career path, and so I possess a trim, well muscled physique, which I am continuing to develop in order to broaden my appeal.

I am a highly active person, with many passtimes involving strenuous physical activity. I practiced Tae Kwon Do for most of my youth, earning a first degree black belt before setting the sport aside to focus my attention on modeling. I also participated in swimming and wrestling at various points throughout my school years. My current workout routines regularly consist of weight lifting, jogging, and climbing. I also engage in amateur parkour in my spare time. For these reasons I consider myself a highly athletic and bodily kinesthetic person who would be well suited to parts involving action, movement, and quick reactions. I am particularly interested in performing fight scenes involving choreographed hand to hand combat. I am also a quick study at dancing and would be willing to work as a back-up dancer in musical routines.

I also have great interest in fashion, and would like to be featured in print ads for any range of clothing manufacturers or department stores.

As a side note, my love of video games and other animated media has engendered in me a desire to attempt voice acting. Voice samples are available upon request.
