"Aye MA!!!" has become synonymous for Danae Hicks. Known simply as Ms.1224. Born February 12,1988 to Charles Hicks and coveted motorcycle builder Stacey"Getgone" Hicks,it wasn't until the age of 11 she found her niche in music.The controversial software Fruity Loops Studio was the tool of choice.Over the years she produced for local artist and groups up until 2004.After a two year hiatus and being introduced to "Reason", a new music production software,the then 18 year old Danae began producing again.It wasn't until hearing friend Scotty Johnson rap did she consider starting her own label and production company,1224 Entertainment Group LLC.She began emailing tracks to Johnson and his friends to record to.They began posting tracks on Myspace and surprisingly gained many fans.Even with the new found following she still had to figure out a way to connect with more artist.Enlisting the help of east side club promoter Marvin Lewis .They began networking,going to clubs and studios meeting with artist. After a solid run in the music industry and getting the chance to work with major artist, she finally decided to settle down and focus on other parts of entertainment. Danae expanded 1224 Entertainment Group into a marketing and media company, closing the production and label groups. In 2012, 1224 Entertainment Group introduced 1224 Radio, 1224 TV, and "We Entertain Magazine". Choosing to take a bigger part in the media side, Danae now host the radio 1224 Radio each week and models. "I still have a passion for the music and i will continue to produce for a select few, but I'm ready to unplug my keyboard and open a new chapter in my life. It's been great doing the production thing and who knows maybe god will lead me back in that direction if it's meant for me, but right now I'm gonna focus on the hosting,interviewing,starting my accessory and clothing line,launching my magazines, and modeling it's been something I've always wanted to do so now it's my time!!"
