~~For me, make-up is very personal. Like so many girls I grew up wearing the basic foundation-mascara-lip gloss combo, but some time ago I suffered burns to my face. This almost destroyed my self-esteem, but I began to research skin care to help myself heal...and make-up to cover up the damage in the mean time.
Ironically, the more I experimented with and found out about make-up, the less I focused on covering up the skin I was ashamed of, and the more I focused on enhancing what I was proud of.
Now that my scars have healed (ask me about skin care), I still carry this philosophy into my make-up career with me.
We all have something we don't like about ourselves, but I believe make-up shouldn't be about hiding our imperfections, but enhancing that which we love and which makes us unique.~~
