Laura is a young artist, originally from Colorado. She has always been driven to be be creative and had a love for the macabre. She has dabbled in everything from painting to metal work. Though she is passionate about all art forms she found a niche in the make up world.
She started doing costumes and sets for local themed events and concerts. As the events grew more elaborate so did her need for more intricate make ups and costumes. This lead her introduction of special effects, although she did not know it yet. Primarily self taught she always strove to learn new techniques and use new mediums.
Her over the top characters garnered a lot of attention and lead her to want to make it her career. Laura left Colorado to attend Tom Savni's Effects program in Pennsylvania. There she graduated with honors and an associates degree. While in attendance at Douglas she worked on some short films, including NightMare Cabin with Steve Johnson. She also worked for Pittsburgh Musical Theater in their production of Tarzan. Laura has now found herself in Louisiana working at composite effects as an airbrush artist. As well as doing makeup for some film and TV.
She intends to further her education and get a esthetician license as well as a pyrotechnic license. And one day hopes to work in movies or for a magaizine.
