About Me

I consider myself quite a unique person. I possess a healthy, happy and flexible personality and outlook on life. I have the gifts of being energetic, motivated, creative, and hospitable. I have tried many things that life has to offer. I am a motivated self-starter and once I get an idea in my head I always follow through to achieve results. Since I was young I found mechanical things intriguing which always sparked an interest that lead to me diving knee deep into a new adventure. These adventures always lead to new knowledge and excitement. The knowledge over the years leads me to become self-employed most of my adult years. The excitement leads to me becoming the person I am today.
I am a person that is not afraid to try something new. I can adapt to many different environments, settings and personalities. You might say I can dress up or dress down!
In a brief summary of my career and life: I grew up on Long Island, N.Y. in the suburbs. I always worked since I was 10. I would go the store for neighbors and earn tips, I did yard work, had a paper route and sold candy or greeting cards for selected gifts. I learned to work on cars from my father and from taking them apart to see what made them tick. From taking things apart I was gaining invaluable knowledge of how to build them back. Later I realized I could capitalize off that knowledge. After high school I stated my own mechanics business fixing cars for people in the neighborhood. By this time I had built my first hot rod from scratch; a 1965 GTO. As I fixed cars my hobby was scuba diving on my off hours. This sport leads me to become a professional deep-sea diver. There was exciting career I never knew existed, Commercial Diving in the off shore oil fields. It paid well too! After working in this industry for five years I decided it was a bit too dangerous. It was then I decided to utilize the construction skills I had acquired to

start a small home improvement contracting business. That was in 1977. I have been involved in construction, residential and commercial every since. I have acquired an immense knowledge of the industry, which I consider to be invaluable and comparable to a doctorate degree!

In addition to the above my merits also included making jewelry and macramé. These pieces of art eventually turned in to a profitable business selling my goods. Many people were seeking my unique one of a kind pieces for their boutiques or for wear. At one of the stores I purchased jewelry findings from I was asked to be a model in a fashion show. At the show I was offered a job in model in a prominent department store on Long Island, Abraham & Strauss also known as A & S. I modeled in the store men’s department and participated in modeling shows in the stores cafeteria.

In summary, when I look back through my life at the many different roles I’ve played on my life’s journey I view myself as a chameleon, who can adapt and blend with any environment. The role of parenting was the most challenging and educating. Parents are great at multi-tasking. Parenting requires juggling work, the kid’s activities, house & family needs, finances to support a family of four or more. We plan and organize in our sleep only to do all over again at 5am. I understand the needs of any giving situation and get the job done!
