I began with underwater film photography in 1994. I wanted to record my dives through images and capture the colorful reefs,ecosystems and aquatic creatures I was observing. Trial and error,lots of film and reading just about every book written on the subject of underwater photography and videography helped me to record these images. At that time I was shooting with a Sea and Sea MMII with YS 50 strobe. In 2001 I began to dabble in photography above sea level and have been shooting ever since. The challenge for me, besides the technical aspects of photography and lighting in being able to capture an image in a 1/250 of a second and successfully convey a story,feeling or emotion to the viewer.Only when this is accomplished, is the image successful. Most of what I shoot has been fine art,macro, still life and seascapes. I would like to expand my portfolio with fashion/modeling images.
