Kim's Bio

Kim’s keen eye for Makeup and Beauty began as a teenager, when she would do makeovers, and tweeze eyebrows for students at her high school. Her passion for makeup continued, and led her to the School of Makeup Art, where she earned her diploma, as a Beauty and Special Effects Makeup Artist. Kim also received her certification for Style and Image Consulting, Hair for the Camera, Teaching Techniques, and Airbrush Makeup.

After graduating in 2005, Kim began freelancing in Toronto, as a Professional Makeup, and Hair Artist. She was represented by The Artist Group Limited in 2007 – 2008, but has since branched out on her own.

In March of 2010, Kim founded BOURGIE (pronounced boo-zhee). BOURGIE represents Makeup/Hair Artists, and Fashion Stylists.

To date, Kim is focused on, scouting, developing, and managing her artists. Along with creating, and directing, many editorial photo shoots.

Founded in March of 2010, BOURGIE (pronounced boo-zhee), is the new high fashion incubator, for Toronto’s freshest artists. We represent Makeup Artists, Hairstylists, and Fashion Stylists.

BOURGIE distinguishes itself by scouting, and professionally developing, all artists on the roster.

Our artists specialize in magazine editorial, fashion shows, advertising, commercial print, catalogue, and film & television.

BOURGIE’s philosophy is to give an opulent expectation, of discerning taste, to all of our affiliates.
