Dan James Photography

I consider myself amateur as I dont survive off of my photography. I was trained directly by Eastman Kodak and one of their smaller companies for my basic shooting skills, they helped develop my eye. Ive branched off, managing a crew of photographers in my main time and developing a small photography service/ company in my off time. Ive realized photography services can become VERY expensive but you don't necessarily need to spend a lot to get a lot. This is not my primary job, but its my passion. I mainly work with small studio photography. My specialty is photography with firearms but I love adding to my portfolio.  Im now branching out from my friends and close associates to offer services to others in my area. Im looking for models and non models who would like to contribute not only to my portfolio but who desire a new eye for their own.

Im hoping to make some new contacts who are looking for an edgy shoot with either their own firearms or through using my own. I prefer to shoot with all "action" removed form firearms for the safety of the model and photographer however if you have a firearm in which this would be difficult or would compromise a shot we can work together. Safety is always key.

Until I find an official studio space in Branson I will offer TFP sessions. For now, as im still new to the MO Market I will focus mostly on helping models with their portfolio building, and fun shoots. I also always Release copyrights. Again, This is not how I make my living, Its a form of art.


The Key to a good Shoot "pun intended" is preparation.
• You are encouraged to bring an escort, but not required.
• Need to sign a model release form (supplied by me)
• Id or drivers license for proof of age. (Depending on shoot)
• Makeup & Hair Kit (If desired)
• Multiple Changes of Clothes (more outfits can lead to more sets)
• Last but not least a positive and creative attitude!
