** I wish to make a point clear. I perfectly understand there will be times when participation in a shoot will not be possible. Illness, sick children or family members, flight delays or the unreliability of another job. But in all cases, it is usually known well ahead of time. I expect the courtesy of a call to be informed. If I get a no show, no call, or you avoid calls, then you will not be scheduled again, and the behavior will be relayed to the rest of the Photography Staff so they will also not schedule you to shoot.**

Streetlow Magazine is one of the top Lowriding magazines on the market today. Staying true to the lifestyle and building on the concepts that made Lowrider it was in its prime, Streetlow has been in circulation for 14 years and continues to grow under the same owner who created it. Something no other lowriding publication can say. Streetlow features some of the top Streetlowriders with some of the hottest models of all races. The magazine features Chicano culture, club scenes, fashion and some of today's headlines.
I am John Pineda. I have been photographing glamour for over 23 years now. For much of my early years I photographed for friends who wanted either pics for themselves or were interested in becoming models. Approximately 12 years ago, I started working as a photographer for Streetlow, a nationally distributed Magazine, headquartered in San Jose CA. I started by covering car shows but within my first 6 months I was shooting my first cover and had a few features under my belt. Now I have become the Director of Photography / Main Photographer, shooting the majority of the covers and several features per issue.
Being with Streetlow Magazine I got to meet some very beautiful women, so I am still shooting Glamour work for models who need quality, with exceptional editing geared towards glamorizing the photo for their portfolios. In my style, I am now incorporating more nudity ranging from implied to explicit, depending on the models limits.
I have reasonable fees and do accept some TFP. I am confident in my ability, but not an arrogant and grumpy photographer who thinks my work is so good that I am not willing to trade work with a Model, but this is now a business for me. With my experience, I am more than confident that our work together will add to both our ports. As such, I personally no longer pay models for shoots.
If Models are interested in working with me, you are encouraged to contact me and see what we can get going. You can e-mail me at john_pinedajr@yahoo.com, just make sure to put "Model Submission" in the subject field.
I also wanted to reaffirm to all models. If you have any questions as to the validity of ANYBODY claiming to be a Photographer with Streetlow Magazine, DO NOT hesitate to visit the Streetlow Magazine web site at
www.streetlowmagazine.com and go to the "Contact SLM" link. There you will find a listing of the staff members in Streetlow Magazine and what their positions are, and who the Photographers actually are. There is even a link to the Publisher of the magazine in the event you wish to inquire about any specific person, including me. There are alot of imposters out there. Some we know, others we don't. There are also those who will say alot of negative things. Many are those trying to do what we do but can't succeed. Some are the few models we have stopped working with due to conflicts. In any case, I say a wise person sees the overall reputation of the individual and business versus the minority rant. Feel free to inquire about anything.
