I absolutely LOVE the creative aspects of photography, and I truly ENJOY working with fun, intelligent, and creative people.
I have worked with lots of AWESOME models, and I am very, very grateful for the wonderful opportunities we have to create memorable and dynamic images!
I want to work with models who ACTUALLY WANT TO MODEL
. If you still have "selfies" on your profile, you're not really interested in modeling. If you haven't had a professional shoot in the last month -- you're not a model (make some contacts, book some shoots, and get something new and exciting in your portfolio!).
Let's make this simple.
and then you get to BE THE BOSS
during the shoot. You get to determine looks, outfits, concepts as well as invite anyone you wish to your photo shoot. If you want to bring your boyfriend, girlfriend, parents, grandparents, children, whomever - when you pay me, you're welcome to bring along whomever you wish. I charge $50/hour for work in my studio and $100/hour for photos taken anyplace else. Because I charge by the hour, you and your friends can split the expense and split the session time. You get copies of the web-sized proofs which you can edit and retouch yourself. If you me to retouch the images, they fee is $20 for basic retouching (face only), $40 for advanced retouching (includes body), and $60-$80 for digital composite art (swapping out the background, etc.). Retouched images include a COPYRIGHT RELEASE for you to make UNLIMITED numbers of prints in whatever sizes you wish. PREPAID PACKAGES
are available which can save you up to 50% of the cost for your photos (no refunds or reschedules on prepaid packages).
MODEL FOR ME
and then your shoot is FREE, but then I am the boss
during the photo session, and I determine the looks, outfits, concepts, and as well as if any guests are allowed at the shoot. What you are being "paid" is my time and talent including FREE shoot, copies of your session digital proofs, and some professionally retouched images. Just like any other job, you need to apply and convince me that you would be a good worker for my needs. Models must complete any appointments they schedule, no excuses. If you miss your appointment for any reason - you are required to pay me a $50 cancellation fee. I am a busy professional, and I only want to work with other professionals -- who keep their commitments and show up for work as scheduled.
I normally schedule GLAMOUR TFP shoots - in which models spend at least half the shoot posing for my fine art projects and then the rest of the shoot can be ANY TYPES of photos the model wants (headshots, high-fashion, swimwear, fitness, casual, body paint, parts, formal wear, etc.). I like those shoots the best since half the session the model is working for me, and half the session I am working for the model. That seems a fair and equitable trade of services.
When people are doing the artwork posing for me I am open to working with a wide range of ages, races, shapes, sizes, and conditions. I value all people and do my best to make each individual have photos which make them proud.
I have worked with hundreds of models, and I am extremely good at coaching and training newbies in the arts of posing, expression, and movement. Even very seasoned pros pick up several useful modeling tips from working with me.
I only want to work with enthusiastic people who love my work. If the style of my photography isn't your thing - then there are THOUSANDS of other photographers out on this site. If you are enthusiastic about working with me, I will certainly be enthusiastic about working with you.
Someone who wants to be considered a working MODEL needs to understand that the work is about fulfilling the needs of their clients / customers / photographers. Just like any other type of job, models are there to perform the work for which they are hired. And just like any other type of job, if a model puts up a fuss or is difficult to work with then they will end up fired (or not re-booked). If you have lots of restrictions and expectations, then people will see you as someone "posing for the fun of it" rather than someone who is serious about a career. Like any profession, you need to study, learn, practice and hone your skills in order to advance.
