I am a passionate make-up artist looking to develop a great portfolio and to collaborate with like minded creatives who are similarly inspired by fashion, art and design. I am currently on the second year of a HND Specialist Make-up course at West Thames College where I have gained experience in film & TV make-up including period styling, fashion make-up for editorial and catwalk, theatre make-up and body art.
I am creative and experimental with a love of the avant garde and I am keen to explore my interests with designers and photographers who share my passions. I am inspired by current fashion designers such as Gareth Pugh, Meadham Kirchhoff, Mary Katrantzou, Alexander Wang, Vivienne Westwood, Louise Gray and Yohji Yamamoto to name but a few. Some of the photographers whose work I find most inspiring are Horst, Serge Lutens, Helmet Newton, Tim Walker and Ellen Von Unworth.
I have a love for classic movies and stars of the screen from the 20's, 50's and 60's such Bette Davis, Louise Brooks and Jean Harlow. I find inspiration from a wide variety of sources such as Japanese street style; 1980's fashions and music (especially the new wave style); graffiti; fine art; literature and graphic novels. I have a degree in textile design and I bring this experience to my make-up artistry through experimentation with colour and pattern.
If you are a fellow make-up artist, designer or photographer who is similarly inspired and looking to collaborate on any projects please get in touch.
