Cabilan Cartel is not what you think it is. When most people hear the word cartel, usually drug traffickers, kingpins, supermodels, flashy jewelry, expensive cars, guns, and everything else that comes with the fast life come racing to our heads. But I look at the brand name from a different perspective, but still maintaining that underworld flair, that edge, and that criminal element many of us are infatuated with. Cabilan comes from the Tagalog (Filipino) root word of "sa kabila", meaning of the otherside. And if you break the word cartel in three ways, you get the letter "C", the Spanish word "el", which translates to the word the, and lastly, the word art. You conjure that organized confusion together, and you get our slogan: "See the art of the otherside." Our brand is photography based, but we also manufacture clothing and novelty items based on our signature style fotos. I don't like being labeled soley as a photography endeavor, or even remotely as a streetwear company. I'm an artist. I create art using a camera, but at the same time, I also make clothing to help you look fly. I'm doing what I'm passionate about, and to me that's all that matters. I don't give a shit what other people think about me or what I'm doing. I like who I am, and I want to show the world that being creative, being original, being yourself and doing what you want to do in life............ is cool as fuck!
