Hi, I'm Katarina Smith, I'm eighteen and am finally getting my start in the world of modeling. I started out as an awkward fourteen year with no self confidence and a little too much weight on my hands. Now I'm 5 foot 4 inches, and 148lbs. I've done two preliminary pageants two state pageants and am signed up for my third of each.

Pageants have become a great love and passion of mine and I look forward to taking part in the Miss Ohio Teen USA pageant once again. I love the people and the enviornment in which it takes place. It takes a lot of hard work but is so much fun. This year I will be helping my friend accomplish her dreams to take part in the pageant and I look forward to seeing her, my best friend that's like a little sister, shine bright and go forward with her dreams.

It is a wonderful place and way to get started and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get into the pageant world. Yes, it is expensive; but it is worth every penny and every hour you spend sponsoring to gain the money. It's a very competitive field, but the girls are so nice and you form a family bond, a pageant family. You get a pageant mom, and your sisters are the rest of the girls in your group.

After the last pageant I was in, an agency showed interest in me. I was so excited and beyond thrilled! They interviewed me...and I got a spot! This showed me that anyone can reach their dreams and their goals. Now I'm taking classes from Barbizon of Akron, under guidance of Pro-Model & Talent, and I wouldn't trade this new adventure or chapter of my life for the whole world. It's been amazing so far, and I'm learning a lot, it's teaching me how to better care for myself and what helps make me look better. And have now graduated their course and am signed with John Casablanca in Columbus, Ohio. And am working to finish my training with this agency.

I can't wait to get the chance to share my new knowledge with anyone who wants it, and who needs it. This is helping me grow as a person and in responsiblity, I would encourage anyone who wants to enter into this field to reach for the stars and to fight to accomplish their dreams and goals. Nothing is impossible and you are never not good enough, that's never true. You're gorgeous in your own way shape and form and it's amazing. This has changed my life and I'm so proud of who it's helping to shape me into.

As of April 7th 2014, I have been signed with Pro-Model & Talent Management associate with Barbizon Of Akron :) and look forward to the work I will be able to start doing with them and am returning to the Miss Ohio Teen State Pageant in November.
