Artist/photographer Bob Worthy’s depictions of life and the figure allow viewers the opportunity to identify with broader notions of time and existence. His alternative processes photographic pieces and mixed-media art works are figurative masterpieces of shape and space that beautify an intimate subject matter, the unclothed human form singularly and in pairs. Often employing a dramatic use of negative compositional space Worthy presents the body as pure form, thus transcending the personal identity of his subjects. The body is abstracted and manipulated through the employment of unexpected points of view, extreme close-up and the intertwining of more than one figure.
Often travel to the metro DC area for photo shoots. Both experienced and inexperienced models are welcome to inquire about TFP/CD shoots. Contact me for more information.
Currently selling my (mostly male) figurative artwork on my eBay auction site under the seller name: theartnetwork.

From a review of the "looking Backward" exhibit:
"Worthy’s depictions of us at our most vulnerable—nude—are timeless. They often incorporate nature themes—a nude woman resting on a wild jumble of rocks, for instance. And while there’s nothing pornographic about it, there is a simple beauty to both the subject and her setting that defines passion better than the most graphic modern concept of sensuality."
