Thanks for stopping by!! My name is Kelsey and I'm a Drake University graduate with a degree in Anthropology & Sociology and a minor in philosophy. My interests include social justice, human rights, and global health, and all sorts of other bleeding heart, save-the-world type stuff
My experience traveling around the world has given me an entirely new perspective on life and purpose, and I can only hope that I'll someday make a small change for the better.
After traveling internationally for a while, I decided last summer to move to middle-of-nowhere Montana and worked near Glacier National Park for a while. In January I decided I needed a touch more civilization and made my way to Missoula, where I am planning on being for at least the remainder of this year. I love Montana and am eager to explore the rest of the state, however without a car my travel capabilities are somewhat limited. If you decide to come visit this AMAZING part of the country, or would like to try to find a way for me to come to your part of the world, hit me up and let's shoot! I LOVE to travel. Don't be afraid to ask to work with me if you are nowhere near me! You never know if I will be in your area, so it definitely doesn't hurt to ask!! :-)
** I do not accept drive by friend requests!!!
If you'd like to work with me, PLEASE send a personal message or I may not accept. I try to keep this page limited to people I have worked with or may work with at some point, or who's work is inspirational. If I don't add you, it is nothing personal, just a way to stay organized. The same goes for my Facebook page - if you send a random friend request and I have no idea who you are, I will likely not add you.**
However cold-hearted it may seem, I also am not a participant in the ever so popular comment-for-comment exchange that happens here on MM. I TRULY appreciate every comment I receive, but please don't expect me to "trade" them with you! If you believe my work deserves a comment, please say something! If not, I will survive if my pictures don't have 329875203419 comments and lists ;-) If I feel compelled to leave a comment on your work, I do so without any expectations. Commenting for the sake of commenting is not productive at all
, in my opinion. Hopefully that doesn't make me look like a bitch, because I'm actually quite nice :-)
I have no tattoos :-) (I haaaaaaate hate hate hate needles!!)
Traditional single piercing in each ear only.
I have recently done a major purging of unnecessary belongings to downsize and simplify my life. Why does that matter to you? Because I now have a very, very limited wardrobe beyond the basics. This is fine with me - I often find that less is more (insofar as styling is concerned). However, if you want a crazy or fashionable wardrobe, it will either have to be provided or borrowed, or perhaps I am not the right girl for your shoot
I loooove love love working with MUA's and hairstylists, but if need be I can do my own hair and makeup
for simple beauty/casual/glamour shoots. I spend a good amount of money to use the best products for photography purposes.
I am absolutely open TF* work IF
I feel as though our collaboration will contribute to my portfolio. If you are contacting me for something that will benefit YOU, then it seems only fair and professional that some sort of compensation be provided, although it may not necessarily be in the form of money. Provided wardrobe, working with an exceptional MUA or hairstylist, travel expenses... these are all possible forms of compensation!
will be considered on an extremely
selective case-to-case basis. More than likely, if I've never heard of you and have not shot with you before, my answer will be no. If your portfolio is professional and tasteful and you can provide solid references, I may consider discussing concepts, but don't get your hopes up. TF* will not be considered for nude work.
Any advice and/or suggestions from photographers or other models is always welcomed and, of course, if you would like to collaborate please shoot me a message!
