About MePersonal Quote:
"Yesterday we obeyed kings and bent our necks before emperors. But today we kneel only to truth, follow only beauty, and obey only love." -Khalil Gibran
I am an artist. I am a teller of stories. My brushes are made of metal and glass and through them flow light, and shadow, color and contrast.
My topic of choice is the female form. The simple beauty of lines and curves, expression and pose. Their strengths and their frailties, their passions and what seems at times an almost limitless ability to inspire.
So why am I here? I am looking for a friend and companion. A collaborator and co-conspirator. An artist and a muse. Someone with a deep burning passion that rivals my own. Someone who can set aside social constraints. Someone who does not govern their life by what trappings they can accumulate, but by what beauty they can create, foster, and share.
Many of my fellow photographers and artists tell me that this person just simply doesn't exist. That I should resign myself to hiring some traveling Gypsy model who breezes through town and then vanishes just as quickly leaving me with and empty bank account and a shoe box full of tired images that might garner momentary accolades but then are easily forgotten. And perhaps this is true. Perhaps I am delusional. But if it is my delusion then shall I not at least make it a satisfying one? I will not be swayed by the possibility of failure. I would much rather fail, than live with the regret of having never tried.
I really don't know what else to add. If you are passionate. If you are creative. If you are open minded and possess an endless curiosity. I am looking for you. Find me.
-David and Shutter
I am a dog rescuer. My own rescue dog "Shutter" is a common staple in the studio and on the road with me.
I am 8 year veteran of the United States Army.
I travel extensively. I intend to go as far as I can for as long as I can. I collect moments, experiences, and memories not things.
I like people. Specifically interesting people. Everyone has a story. I want to learn about yours and am willing to share with you mine.
I could babble on and on about with whom I have worked and for, but that would be pointless. I possess no delusions of grandeur.
Short Work History:
My Photography has been featured by NASA (Space Shuttle Atlantis STS-129 Nov 2009) the United States Postal Service (Capitol Conveyor Oct 2010) the Department of the Navy (USS Enterprise July 2011) and the Los Angeles Times (Space Shuttle Endeavour Sept 2012) as well as many other various local news and organizations.
