I prefer Freinds to be people I wish to work with and model or photographers that have work I respect and admire.  If you like an image comment. I always check out the work of people kind enough to leave a word or opinion and I would be happy to comment on images that moves me.




Education: I have a formal education in photography and visual arts. I attended Ohio University School of Fine Arts in Athens Ohio. In my education I studied everything photographic. Studio, Still Life, Photojournalism, Fashion, Beauty/Glamour, Food, Editorial, Commercial, Small format 35mm's, Medium format 2 1/4's, Large Format 4x5's. Typically I have shot film and slide most of my life.  I have moved to Digital and I am embracing this media.

About Shoots: Photography is a passion and is more than a Hobby for me. I like to shoot on location. I like to shoot loose and fast at times. Other times I am very methodical about my shoots and take time for each exposure depending on the ideas.

Pre-meets: I like to do pre-shoot meetings with models when possible. This allows us to communicate prior to the shoot and discuss what type of images we both expect. It allows me to cater the shoot specific for each model. It allows me to make the shoot more conceptual and give it an editorial edge. I can see where the models portfolio is headed and the wish of the model as to where they want to see thier work int he future. When at the meetings I bring an extensive portfolio that allows models to see entire shoots and lets them see #1 I am professional in my work, this is business. #2 What type of shoot to expect. #3 what type of images the model will recieve. It lets us decide locations, outfits, makeup, hair and whatever other pertenant shoot info needs to be worked out.

I don't discuss concepts prior to meetings or shoots. I choose not to give away concepts and my ideas. So until we sit down and set up a shoot, My ideas stay my ideas. Most of my models are not professionals, in the sense that they do not derive 100% of thier income from modeling. So I choose not to bother them with references calls. The people I work with have lives and don't need to have someone constantly calling them asking about references. I hope this is not an issue, besides you can learn more about me by a preshoot meet. I respect the privacy of all my models.

Escorts: Bring whomever you want. As long as they do not interfere with the shoots. I prefer an escort to be someone that is there to help with clothing, makeup, hair. Be professional bring a professional. Boyfriends/Girlfriends do not make good escorts. At times they may interfere, they comment on poses or take phone calls that do not pertain to the shoots. Models have became shy intreverted if someone is at the shoot and gives a look or comments on a pose. I have patience and understand that I want the models to be comfortable, however I do not want the shoots interupted. If you want great photos understand I am speeking from experience, I've seen it often. But, I believe that I should leave that up to the model. So bring whoever you want.

Philosophy: Photography is a passion, job, lifestyle.  I am interested in Great photos published fashion work and advertising and nothing else.
Compensation: TFP or TFCD. I prefer flash drives.

I do not discuss any shoot information with anyone other than the people I work with. Third parties are not going to get a response from me. So do not refer me to an agent or sponser or whomever else you work with. Agents are fine, if they are getting you work and keeping you working in modeling more power to you. Modelmayhem is a networking site and if you are an adult you shouldn't need someone else to do your business on this site.

I'm very clear in which direction I want my work going. I am very easy going. My shoots are fun and I try to be benificial to both parties. I take suggestions and ideas well. If there is an idea you want to work great, I want you to get the images you want just as I want great images. 

I am looking to add more Conceptual Studio, Flawless Beauty and High Fashion images to my work.

Model Release: When shooting TFP or TFCD I always use a model release form. You may look over the form at a pre meeting and sign at the shoot. Basically it is a simple release that lets the model understand that the rights to use the photos for self promotion are shared by both parties(Photographer and Model).  Provided that the images are accompanied by a credit as to whom they are photographed by. However,  I am the only person that will edit or photoshop images I shoot. I do not give the right to photoshop or ulter images to the model. I do not want images out there photoshopped by others without my permission that are not to my specifications especially when carrying my name as photographer. Either myself or someone I assign will be the only person alter the images. I have a vision of what I want my images to convey.
