Musician, geek, teacher (maths/stats/music) and aspiring photographer. Previously trained to work with film and darkroom techniques in the pre-digital age.
My very spoilt cat
Last year I set myself the challenge of returning to photography as more than just a hobby, but more specifically moving on from flowers, animals and events (see my Flickr
site for some examples) into working more closely with a single model or small groups to create great images.
I aim to bring out the true character of my subjects and capture it on "film". At the same time, I hope to tap into my creative side and generate something unique and/or memorable. I love working with natural light, fabric textures and their interaction with the human form.
Other goals include stretching myself to cover more genres, especially those with scope for artistic and creative ideas (e.g. fantasy, costume, alternate, bodyscapes) although I willing to give almost anything a go if I feel it will be beneficial.
This year, specifically, I am hoping to work more on bodyscapes (similar to this one
) with the aim of eventually publishing an art book. (Feel free to get in touch if you'd like to be a part.)
I am mostly looking to work with those who are willing to exchange talents for mutual benefit. Happy to work TF and provide all RAW/JPEG, non-watermarked images for your portfolio and/or personal use.
I'm typically available to shoot roughly once a month
on a Tuesday (due to my teaching and other business commitments).
Prefer to be initially contacted through MM.
