When my mother asked me (years upon years ago) why I wanted to be an actress, my response was simple: "It's boring being Amy all the time." Acting provides for me the opportunities to portray someone other than who I am on a regular basis. I'm eager to get a modeling career rolling and portray many different "characters" in front of the camera.
Notes of Interest: ~ 7 years of belly dancing experience - dance style is more cabaret, with a hint of tribal fusion; my costumes are best described as cabaret and/or tribal fusion
~ 1 year each of both ballet and American-style ballroom dance experience
~ I've taken kickboxing, yoga, and dance classes and would like to add sports-themed shots to my portfolio
~ I have a friend who is interested in expanding her make-up artistry portfolio. If you would like to do a shoot of headshots or include a second of headshots in our shoot together, I would like to give my friend the opportunity to make-up my face (and/or another model's) and have examples of her work for her port
~ I have other ideas (not listed) of what I would like to have in my portfolio - please contact me for details if you're up for a challenge in photo-shop!
When it comes to business: I'm most interested in anything unique, oddball, artistic, and exotic. If you have an idea, I'm more often than not willing to give it a shot (just ask Joe Kozlowski about our museum shoot!). Even though I have a number of pictures to choose from, I feel that I am still missing out on a wide variety of looks available for exploration. The limitation to that is I just don't know what. If you have any feedback or constructive (we don't need to be a bully) criticism, please let me know because I know that there's always room for improvement.
To be blatant, I'm not perfect and I require photo-editing. Had I the knowledge and technology to do it myself, we'd have a different situation. A fellow model once said about her vision as a model (something to the effect of), "I want the pictures to portray me as if I were perfect." I have many "beauty marks" on my face and body that I don't mind keeping to acknowledge my individuality - comes with the German blood - however, if you can't return a photo to me that hasn't evened out my skin tone and zapped a few pimples, I'm not interested in your work.
My rates are negotiable for paid shoots and any TFP/CD gigs I expect contribution to travel and, if necessarily, lodging expenses.
For the racier shoots, it's all about concept as to whether or not I will take them. Lingerie and implied nude are paid, and I will wear pasties and a thong. NO NUDES! No gold leaves, no bodypainting, no artistic, no tasteful, no whatever else you try to tell me is "implied" if it still displays the silhouette of a ripe nipple. Don't bother asking, not before the shoot nor during.
Friend Requests: My "friends" are composed of work that I find at least mildly respectable and professional: for those of you with "pin-up" style photos of nearly naked girls in hotel rooms on undeniably cheap flower-print sheets and models snapping cutesy lingerie self-portraits on their bed, this excludes your work. If you desire to work together or have something to say about my portfolio, take some initiative to let me know before requesting my friendship. I'm here to be a business colleague, not a number in your gallery of friends.
Availability: Please expect to schedule something 2 weeks in advance so that we can both prepare properly for the shoot.

Neither photoshop or overexposure was the key to that photo. I shot it pretty much at regular exposure, and then in the darkroom I used a #5 filter to get lots of contrast

I think this will work, the linked photo below has my piercings in it (it is the bottom row left side image on MM, otherwise you can see them at my deviantart site linked on my profile.
I think people just get excited when they find out that you are willing to do nudes, as many models are not willing to do nudes. I did not get the requests until I put up nudes and said that I was willing to do them.
