Congratulations! You are the 1 millionth viewer of my profile! This entitles you to message me, tag my profile page or comment on ANY & ALL photos posted in my portfolio!
My name is Jacob, which you may have already figured out if you saw the top of this page. Yet it's a nice name and I feel it's worthy of repeating. I am an artist, this is first and foremost how I view what I do and who I am, though second I do view myself as a master of disguise and third as a dog lover. But those last two traits have little to no impact on photography.
Have you ever asked yourself "I'm attractive, but how do I let others know that beauty such as mine exists?" Or noticed you have a special skill of putting fabric together in a way that looks really good on a human. Maybe you just want to paint people's faces because you are really good at it. What do you do when all you want is simply have millions of people recognize your awesomeness? A very reasonable and modest goal.
Well I can help, that's what I do, I help people.
I have this great device that can make every dream you have of notifying the world YOU ROCK come true. I call it a 'camera' (pronounced kam-er-uh) 'No' I am not a genius engineer who invented this wondrous device. Truthfully no one knows much about 'cameras' other than the ancient people who created them often documented themselves celebrating or strangely looking forward, even when their loved ones were clearly to their side. I quickly saw its potential and sought to learn it's secrets. After many years I have managed to master it's use and now use it to capture pure, unadulterated greatness in others. Now I spend my days doing what I can to make the world a little less bland and a whole lot more BAM. I'm no hero, I'm simply a giver (please note that by 'giver' I mean I do charge)

A violinist can practice 8 hours a day, every day for months on end just to move up a chair in the orchestra. The same example can be given for anyone in the arts, painter, illustrator, dancer, actor, etc. Photographing models requires multiple people to come together to share their time for a single product. I'm not perfect, so I practice. I love the arts and I want to improve, with every day at every shoot. Sometimes I get paid for those shoots, other times I am learning new techniques, both are viewed as a positive. If you wish to work with me but are flat broke just come in with an idea and the willingness to work for the sake of art and we can see if something can be worked out.
"The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance."
