Christopher “BlackIce” Bell’s methodical moves constantly inspire those around him to be better than their predecessors. The award winning trailblazer holds an extensive portfolio which showcases his creativity through books, behind the camera and his latest - a magazine publication.
BlackIce’s published works include the highly acclaimed Thoughts of a Dreamer which explores the candid dialogue between two lovers - one seemingly a realist, the other, a dreamer. His photographic works include conceptual projects such as Bare Essentials and Fighters. With Bare Essentials, BlackIce highlights the true essence of a woman making her understand that designer clothing, accessories, hair and make-up don’t define her beauty…but the fact that she is a woman is profound enough. With the Fighters series, the artist illuminates the daily struggle to pursue passions and dreams while overcoming adversity and lack of support. With this concept he exudes that anything worth having is meant to be fought for. BlackIce has also shot for celebrities to include Russell Simmons, Janelle Monae and Lloyd Banks.
In 2010 BlackIce launched Inspire Magazine to provide “a safe place for intellectuals and creative individuals”. The publication consists of poetic passages, short stories and aesthetic images that stimulate the ingenious inside each of us.
