My name is Michael Bann, I am a photographer and the publisher of Retro Lovely Magazine, a genuine print magazine, not "print on demand" but genuine high quality offset printed publication. In one year of existence Retro Lovely has gained a reputation as being the highest quality magazine of its kind. Most people refer to our issues as books. 124 bold, glorious color pages with virtually no advertising and very little text. It's about the images. My own personal shooting opportunities are DRAMATICALLY reduced due to the runaway success of Retro Lovely but 4 of the last 5 models I've shot have appeared in issues, more with 2 page spreads than not. Models with the right look, wardrobe and that certain "something" who get my attention stand excellent chances of being printed in an issue.
Issue #1 Featuring Masuimi Max on the cover sent shockwaves through the pinup industry with it's amazing art-book like quality and exceptional images and has not only sold out but been reprinted, right a magazine that has gone on to be reprinted, more amazing still, the second run is now selling out... there will be a third printing.
Issue No.2 featuring MOSH has also gone on to sell through with copies now commanding $40 each.
Issue No.3 with Gia Genevieve on the cover broke all sorts of ground with a cover and feature shot for Retro Lovely, it is not sold out.... yet.... but we learned our lesson with the first two issues and printed significantly more.
Then came Taboo Edition... this issue, which dispensed with out "no nudity" policy caught on like wildfire... achieving cult-like status it now commands $75 per copy... Taboo Edition No.2 is highly anticipated.
Issue No.4 which is shipping now is remarkable in that it was printed with two unique covers, of two models who never before graced a magazine cover... and they were chosen through a contest with many of our fans deciding the images used.
Issue No.5 is due in April and features the lovely Angela Ryan on the cover and this issue will be on hand at VLV14 in Vegas later in April.

All models who appear in our issues get promo copies AND can get additional copies at wholesale. A model who recently appeared in issue No.4 bought 10 copies... and sold them at the cover price... she took that money and bought a full carton of 30... and has since sold the carton putting $450 in her hands from a $60 initial order. And she's not an isolated instance, there are many many models and photographers and retailers doing very very well selling Retro Lovely.
