I find that this modeling thing provides me with a sort of outlet...to unleash my inner thespian. She is a crazy broad who likes vintage clothing, the Beatles and sometimes wearing the nail polish color "Vixen." But I like her...she keeps me company on my responsible grown-up days.
I like to approach a shoot with the attitude that the location is my stage and the camera my audience. I'm not here to pout at the camera or wear spandex while teetering on heels that hurt my feet. I am here to find people who, like me, enjoy creating art for its own sake. I enjoy being behind the camera as well as i front of it...but seem to have more of a knack for the latter.
I am professional about anything I do, but I like to remain lighthearted and laid back when it comes to photography. I think that the best images are frequently those that are captured when one is laughing or displaying something personal about themselves when they step "outside the pose" for a moment.
I try not to take myself too seriously, because I don't like my images to look forced. I love the outdoors, and feel most happy shooting outside in natural lighting. But I am open to creative new approaches, and will hike, drive or climb to any location, indoors or out, that I find inspiring.
I am interested in learning more and building my portfolio by working with creative and professional photographers who think outside the realms of the "cliche." I am not interested in doing any nude work. Or semi-nude. Or fetish. At all. I would only ruin your photo by giggling at myself. But I am open to all other artistic forms of photography.
I seek new ideas, and would love to hear yours.
