New Class - Introduction to Studio Photography

This class will be a 2 hour class providing the participant an introduction to using their Digital SLR camera in the studio using studio lighting to take photographs of people.

The class will provide the student with the following information and experience:
•    Background and overview of studio lighting
•    Camera / lighting interfaces
•    Controlling studio lighting with modifiers, soft boxes, reflectors, etc.
•    Working with your subject
•    Sample studio shoot with a model
•    Brief hands on use of the studio strobes with the model in a group environment.

Students should come to the class with their Digital SLR camera, camera user’s manual, paper and writing utensil.

The class will take place at The Studio at Dulles, located at 21580 Atlantic Blvd., Suite 123, Sterling, VA.

Class size is limited to 6 photographers.

The class fee will be $50 for the two hour session.

Students should have knowledge of their cameras manual setting.  Students need to be able to set  their ISO, White Balance, Aperture, and Shutter speed.  (If you don’t know how to do this, I’ll be able to work with you before the class if you arrive 30 minutes early).

     o Shoot in our shooting rooms.  Each shooting room is 22ft x 22ft with 24ft ceilings.  Various backgrounds and setups available.  Studio lights and modifiers will be provided.  Triggers and receivers will be provided.
     o Dedicated room for MUA/Stylist preparations.
