I am a professional freelance photographer of 3 years. I have my own studio based in Birmingham's Jewellery quarter.

I do test with the right people so hit me up if you want to get something going but this is how I earn my living and at the end of the day I need to eat.

I am happy to do portfolio work but I do have a philosophy about it.  I can't stand generic model portfolio shoots. I understand they may be necessary to get started in modeling but i don't think they offer much to a potential model. Every assignment that i need to choose a model for always has a concept behind it and as a photographer one of the things that i look for when casting a model is his/her ability get into the 'role' the image needs.  Therefore i believe it benefits models far more to have one or two unique and concept based shots in their portfolio than a lot of generic studio shots. Thus if you wanted to put something together we would need to come up with a cool idea and build the shoot around that. This won't produce more than a couple of shots but they will be very high quality and will really give your portfolio an edge over everyone else.  This is a time consuming process though which i do have to charge for. Typically you should budget £250 - £350 for my time with expenses such as hair, makeup and set-builds being extra.  If you're a serious model and need something more in your portfolio then please get in touch and we can start putting something cool together.
