Hey thanks a lot! I appreciate the input on UCSD, I'll definitely look into it some more. Looking at their courses for the extension program, it seemed like they had a good balance of technical classes, like studio lighting and color management.
Definitely let me know when you're in the area again! I would love that too :) Yes I am a nikon shooter, just recently switched from Sony and LOVE it. I have a D300, need to build up my kit again. That's the only bad thing about switching, I have to start from scratch! Are you on Facebook?
