THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ABOUT ME YOU SHOULD KNOW IS...
I HATE sloppy makeup work. Unfortunately it is rampant out there and even more unfortunately people often have to pay for it. If you want clean, detailed, properly done work you have come to the right place. A lot of MUAs say it, I DO it. If you want proof, all you have to do is speak to people who have worked with me in the past. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
And now that I think about it, very few (if any) of my current photos have been retouched at all (makeup-wise). What's the point? If your makeup is below par why lie about it right? They'll find out eventually!
Oh, and I promise to make sure we have a blast at our shoot!
NOTE: I am currently only taking paid jobs with very few exceptions. Not to mention, you are paying for an extremely well trained, experienced makeup artist.
What inspires me: As far as motivation and drive go I've got all my heart in it. When I do someone's makeup, my ultimate goal is that everyone involved is happy. I really get excited when numerous people come together to collaborate and create amazing things, it's something I desire to be a part of.
What do you get when you work with me: When you work with me you'll get an eager new artist who has put a lot of personal time and effort outside of school and lots of her spare time into improving her skills. Someone who is willing to take on a challenge and someone who wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
What am I looking to gain from this site: For the time being I am simply looking to build my professional portfolio.
What do I charge: One look for the whole shoot is $100 plus an additional $5 for every hour of maintenance thereafter (i.e. however many hours I spend at the shoot after the look is completed). If you'd prefer me not sticking around for touch ups I charge $125 for one look, though I absolutely prefer to stick around. If you want more than one look it's $75 for each additional look per model (a new "look" would constitute a significant shift in the makeup to be decided at my discretion). If you require more than one look I waive the additional $5/hr maintenance charge. These rates are subject to change. These are my MM rates only! Corporate/commercial rates will differ.
I consider my rates VERY reasonable. Just because we're on MM it doesn't make the fact that I spent 8 months in school training and doing tons of TF shoots worth any less. In the real world if you wanted a trained, experienced makeup artist you'd have to pay for quality and it's no different here.
Creatives: At the moment paid work comes first. I am still open to doing TF shoots but ONLY if the work benefits my portfolio and only if I have a decent number of shots to choose from. Propose the idea and I will tell you if I'm interested.
About doing a creative with me: If we are doing a creative you MUST either mail me a CD with pictures that I can choose from or send me a link to all the proofs online so I can choose from them. I have had too many experiences receiving zero or only 2 or 3 pictures from photographers that were not even sufficient for portfolio use so please be aware of this before doing a creative with me.
What should you do if you want to work with me: If you would like to work with me you can contact me either through this site or through email at firstname.lastname@example.org at which point we can discuss your objectives and goals and both decide if it's the right kind of match up.
What are my travel limits: I currently live in North York and do not own a car. I am willing to travel fairly far distances with public transit within reason and depending on my schedule. My travel expenses must be paid if you want me to travel out of town.
