About Me

“In the world of photography, you get to share a captured moment with other people.”
– James Wilson

Ever since I touched my first camera, Polaroid instant film-yes, the camera made famous by Outkast’s lyrics “shake it like a Polaroid picture”, although, technically you’re not supposed to shake it-I realized that photography was my calling. It was like taking a peek into someone’s life and saving a piece of them, freezing them in that feeling and time.

I took pictures of everything, and when I was old enough to take Photography class it was the easiest A‘ ever earned. It wasn’t until I was asked by friends to take their senior pictures, when I realized I could do this as a profession, and till this day senior pictures still remain a favorite of mine. I also specialize in newborn pictures, corporate head shots, fashion photography, family sessions, and engagement/couple pictures.

My philosophy towards taking pictures is ensuring that my subjects feel comfortable, natural and candid while editing the picture later to emphasize the emotions I want to convey. Photography, to me, is a mix of science and art. It is the science of knowing my camera, the play of light, the editing software to perfect the way I want to portray the beauty of art and my subject.

When I’m not taking pictures of people, I enjoy long walks, honing my skills by watching my favorite YouTube fashion photographers Jessica Whittaker and Jessica Kobeissi, training my puppy Wilson to sit still for an impromptu model session and chasing after waterfalls (to take pictures of them of course).

To me, photography isn’t just a picture, It’s the ability to capture moments of happiness, joy, and growth and share them with people that would cherish them. If you’re interested in booking a session, please feel free contact me. Plus it’ll save my poor puppy from an inflated ego from all those impromptu modeling sessions.

"Jasmine's a great photographer to work with. Even though it was first photo shoot session, I was a little anxious on that day. She said I was a natural talent for poses and expressions of both my face and body language for the photo shoot. Either way it was a great experience and for that I'd thank her for coming down from up northern Wisconsin for the session. Can't wait to do another one!" Read less
