I am Rachel and I'm 19 years old. Photography is one of my greatest passions and I live for it and through it I express myself. I enjoy creating unique and creative works of art with my photos. Another of my passions is fashion. I decided to combine the two. Although my ambition is fashion photography, I also enjoy various other types. I don't like to limit myself. One day in the near future I hope to become professional. Also, I do all the make-up and styling myself. I am looking to greatly expand my portfolio so I would love to work with more people. Obviously, I am young and not very professional so I don't quite understand the process of shooting models and TFP/CD or the like. I basically just photograph friends and people willing to let me style and direct them. So...I need some help in this area. I also hope to meet other models/photographers/stylists, etc in the Portland/Vancouver area.
I am interested in:
-alternative fashion including:
-goth/cybergoth/lolita/deathrock
-pin-up
-punk
-glamour
-neon and lots of crazy colours with childish things like candy, plastic jewelry and barettes, etc.
-darker themes:dolls/marionettes, carnival, mad scientist, medical, etc.

I honestly only use the clone stamp tool. I don't touch any other tool when doing skin.

If you ever have any questions about photography, don't be shy about asking. You can ask me or just about any of the photographers on MM. And read every book you can find on the subject.
I'm not saying I'm an expert on the subject. But I do okay.

I was going to say the same thing Jerry said.
Work outside.
The thing with your indoor shots is that there are some elements, like a door frame, that are distracting from the subject. Now is someone is standing in the door frame, that may make the door frame adding to it.
So if you want to work indoors, just take everything out of the image that isn't adding to it.
Keep shooting!

My suggestion to you is that you concentrate on OUTSIDE shots as a beginner. You don't have the lighting equipment or a good enough camera to make really high quality inside shots. But your work is a great start. And that "in the field" shot tells me you have talent and an eye.
