First off, I am a very direct 32 year old individual with a background in Psychology, therefore, I feel it is important to say things as they are, rather than sugar coating them to make you happy. Reality over Fiction. You don't like it, well... As a photographer, I started shooting film when I was 14. I got hooked immediately and the rest is history. I like to shoot just about anything. Put a pencil in front of me and I will find a few ways to make it interesting. From weddings to Corporate to obviously sexy commercial glamour and everything in between, I shoot it. My 2 passions are simple, Women and Photography...and women again
Blame the Italian heritage for that! The ICONIC women who inspired me to get into shooting glamour, and still motivate me to continue when I look back at some of their fantastic work are: Anna Nicole Smith, Pamela Anderson, Marilyn Monroe and Victoria Silvstedt.

MY PHILOSOPHY ABOUT MODELS AND PHOTOGRAPHY TODAY:

My style is extremely edgy and I do love to push the sexy thermometer to the limit. However, I am known for keeping it clean and above all very tasteful and seductive. You need to master proper balance otherwise it just looks raunchy and unattractive.
As for models, to me it's all about Facial Expressions. I would say 90% of models have zero skill in this department. I see it everyday! The sense of entitlement you may have because of that finely sculpted body of yours aint worth shit if your head doesn't express anything. You wouldn't hold a candle to the Glamour Icons such as Anna Nicole Smith, Pamela Anderson and of course Miss Monroe herself.
Your shape and body type is secondary and will always be secondary to facial expressiveness. The essence of any type of modeling is about conveying emotions, seducing, attracting an audience which means diversifying your expressions. We could shoot 300 frames but if your facial expression is always the same, now that obviously won't be getting us anywhere!
The bottom line is, if you suck at this, then do you honestly think you are a true model? Trust me, it is hard to be able to be an actor or actress while modeling, because essentially that's what you need to be, good actors! Modeling needs to be seen by you as a performance. This is the drive that will set you apart from the other wannabee models. The minute you walk into a studio not taking the shoot seriously, you will fail.
Until you do not master art form of facial expression diversity, then keep practicing in front of a mirror and when your ready to perform at 110%, give me a shout! I will be more than glad to book you for a shoot!
FACT: Just because you have done a couple shoots before that doesn't make you a model if you don't understand any of what has been mentioned above. Look at European models, THEY understand exactly how the business works.
FACT: Photography is a service like any other services, therefore it is NORMAL for a photographer to charge for his time, skill and vision. Just like your hairdresser would charge you to cut your hair, and a dentist would certainly charge you to pick the crap off your teeth...I think we are starting to get the point here...
Hiring a pro photographer is important as the outcome is to help focus on the initial aspect of the workflow mentioned above. - Building a high quality portfolio that will get you paid work in the long run!
