Hi, mostly shooting pin up at the moment
I graduated from Parsons as a photography major and am currently based in Brooklyn. I'm shooting paid work primarily, with some trade exceptions. Everyone I shoot must sign a model release. Here's a little about the projects I'm currently working on or recently finished up.
Lucy La Riot Pin Up >> I have always loved classic pin up illustrations, and since we are living in a time where society's sexual ideals are changing so frequently, I think that it's important to keep an hourglass figure, victory rolls, big hair, and effortlessly classy allure alive. Celebrity Death Series >> This series was my senior thesis at Parsons, I was staging contemporary, living celebrity's death scenes. I think that it is interesting that the circumstances of how a celebrity dies are a large part of how they are remembered, and that their death is almost seen as a final career move. I was making each cause of death appropriate to the celebrity's lifestyle because I want the scenes to be believable, however I made them into editorial-like aestheticized versions of vulgar and gruesome crime scene photos because of how highly people aestheticize and idealize celebrity's lives.
Oh& if you're shooting with me and have cat allergies, please note that I have a cat in my apartment where I usually shoot (although shes very shy and probably won't even say hello).
