About me

I like to make images that provoke an emotional reaction. To me that's making art, but I think it's also the goal of any photo within any style.

I mainly shoot digitally, but I will be happy to shoot medium format film if the costs are covered. When shooting digitally, I charge $1500/day which includes studio (Manhattan 21st/6thAv) and a nice camera and lighting package (used for all the shots in my port). A day can be broken in to halves and thirds.

I'm very selective about who I shoot TFCD with. If you are interested in doing a shoot, send me a message with any details and where you are proposing to pay or TFCD and if it doesn't interest me, I'll most likely suggest a variation that interests me.

My port is set up with faces in the front and nudes in the back.

My work as a record producer has a huge influence on how I shoot. I see a shoot as a performance to be captured. In some case I have little tricks I like to use to keep photos looking natural and unposed, in others I like to trust the model. I like shoots to be dynamic collaborations.

When I shoot trades, I usually provide a DVD of all of the images in JPEG format at the end of the shoot.

I keep an idea book for shoots and when I'm responsible for coming up with the ideas, I prefer to book a shoot before deciding the specifics. I'll look at every photo of the model I can find and then spend a few days coming up with specific ideas for that model.
