I am a NYC based artist with 10 years experience as well as a portfolio of varied
accomplishments, including award-winning photography and exhibitions. I use juxtapositions and contrasts to build a concept that is interesting and makes sense, artistically. I also love to create simple portraits, focusing on beautiful and interesting light for my subjects. I try to capture powerful emotion along with creative composition. I try not to rely heavily on Photoshop or other editing programs to enhance my images. My photography is simple, yet powerful, innovative yet unpretentious. I take a very detailed approach while I construct my portraits. I try to have a strong sense of shape and style, creating something that is interesting to look at and pleasing to the eye. I have a strong knowledge of color and color theory, often including these practices into my work. While setting up my shot, I always build rapport, creating a strong connection with my subjects. This allows me to direct them in a way that makes them feel more at ease and comfortable during the photo shoot. In ideal moments, all else disappears but the two of us.
