I own my own company called darklens, this is my only sorce of income, photography is my JOB :p I have been a pro tog for 5 years. I have never studied photography at college or university, I can’t tell you the ISO level or shutter speed for a given situation, or what a perfect stop number is. but i know what i want to capture and how to do it. I have worked hard to get to the level of photography I can produce, and will always be working harder learning more to improve. I also believe it’s not the camera that makes the picture, but the person taking it. I don’t think having a £300 or a £3000 camera will help recreate the image in the persons head taking it. Im not a photoshop wiz, digital artist or graphic manipulator. i can use photo shop and I do edit my images but only to the level that is available in any darkroom. Although I use digital, my work is as raw as it can get.
i have had my images published in many genres from websites like SG and punkgrls, fashion magazines including dazed and confused, heat, look, nuts, bizarre, devolution, fashion rocks, alt fashion and alt noir. i currently work freelance for kerrang, metal hammer, rocksound, planet loud, krash and WV magazine, the wolverhampton express and star and cronical and a premier ship football team as a club portrait photographer.
i have whats been called a hyper manic active shoot style and can be too hyper for some ppl. i very much love my job and take each shoot like a pro but i like to have fun and dont live to work.
i am always looking to expand my portfolio so will consider tfp if model can travel to me.
