About me
I am a professional photographer, photojournalist by trade, who has photographed fashion spreads, runway shows at Fashion Week in New York, rock concerts and bands, beauty pageants, sports, etc. That's my day gig. This is where I try to explore.
My styles tends to be inspired by film noir movies with high contrast, dark darks, white whites or the old masters, Rembrandts and the Dutch school, with somber yellows, greens, and browns.
These days I'm fascinated by Horst P. Horst, Edward Steichen, and Irving Penn.
Although I can work with strobes, I prefer to use hotlights. I have an array of funky spotlights I've acquired from ebay that help me achieve my lighting choices. It may be kind of non-traditional for a modern photographer, but I like how it looks.
