Past Experience:
I began my career in an area where photography was part of the job, and it was done largely 'at the run' no time really to stop & think about lighting, make up or composition, the results HAD to be good!
The documentary/narrative style is my forte, and although I now have my own well equipped studio here, I still like to work outside now and again, flying by the seat of my pants so to speak.
Amongst other things, I have provided material for inclusion as magazine covers, book covers and album covers.
I also shoot fashion, and on the odd occasion, even weddings!
Happy to work with people who are likeminded.
General Information:
My specialist subjects are the Gothic/Alternative scene, the Fetish scene, and bands, but not to the exclusion of anything else.
I can provide high-quality and imaginative still images for use in publications, web pages, and in the promotion of events, initiatives, and campaigns.
I have expertise in a range of photographic disciplines, including press, people, landscape, industrial, and technical. I have a practical knowledge of digital photography.
I live 20 minutes from the best Gothic architecture in Northern Europe (Edinburgh) and I like dark things!
The sort of person I like to work with is someone who will give me a challenge, work with me & make me think outside the box!
My all time favourite piece of music is Lou Reed’s Venus in Furs!
Any visitor to my place would likely encounter our 3 cats, and a house full of WW2 aeroplane parts!
To date, I have had the good fortune to work with many wonderful models from the following places: England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, USA, Germany, South Africa, The Netherlands, Czech Republic, Portugal... I hope to add to this list soon!

I AM HAPPY TO SHOOT ON A PROFIT SHARE BASIS OR "SHOOT FOR A SHOOT" BASIS ETC, FEEL FREE TO DISCUSS MORE WITH ME.
ULTIMATELY, I AIM TO TRY TO MARKET ALL IMAGES I SHOOT WITH A VIEW TO SHARING THE PROFITS WITH THE MODELS CONCERNED.
TRAVEL EXPENSES: I don't normally expect someone to pay my travel expenses if I'm travelling to a location (unless it's been arranged specially and by prior arrangement, or it's a commercial shoot and travel expenses are part of the arrangement etc etc) - In the same breath, I would not normally pay travel expenses unless it was something that had been arranged previously as part of a commercial venture etc.
PROPS: Some of the props I often use include: Ropes, bodypaints, cage, operating table, guns, knives, needles, chains, etc etc... The list is endless...

Well I’ve had one trip to ‘Castle Fozzie’ and what a great experience! This man’s ropework is beautiful and the results were amazing. Fozzie is brilliant to work with and he has fantastic facilities, ideas and all kinds of props available. Not only were his comms top notch he also really looks after models: tea and jaffa cakes and a Sunday roast after a great day’s shooting. Already trying to plan my next trip! If you’ve not worked with him already…why the heck not? Get him booked!
