A little over 18 years ago, I discovered the unlimited potential photography had in capturing and sharing the world around me, and I was hooked. I eagerly learned the techniques of lighting and composition, developing my skills in the studio and outdoors. In those early years when photography knew only film, my unlimited access to a professional dark room afforded me the opportunity to really sharpen my photography skills. As the digital technologies of photography have emerged and grown, I have learned and added them to my repertoire of techniques. The digital side of photography has given me an added palette to manipulate and develop the images I produce.
The limitless potential of digital format has led me to use it exclusively in all my professional work. To complement my use of digital camera equipment, I make full use of these essential programs: Adobe Photoshop CS4, Corel PainterX, Adobe Lightroom, and PhotoMatrix Pro. I have choosen to hone my skills in the following catagories, Fine Art, Landscape, Portrait, Miksang and Street Photography in order to provide my clients a wide range of services. I am as comfortable shooting in the controlled setting of a studio as I am capturing the images and energy of a party. The dynamic and energetic nature of an event often provides many more opportunities for great “moment” pictures to be taken. For this reason, I am happy to retouch pictures (provided they are of high enough quality) provided to me by a client to be included in the final package of images chosen. Pictures are what keep us connected to our fondest memories and I love creating master pieces that will keep those memories fresh, vibrant and alive.
