Objections to our own skin is ridiculously irrational, body shame is not natural - nudity is. - Muse
FACTS
Muse is my birthname not an alias
Eyes: Aquamarine (a rather fancy name for blue/green)
No artificial additives or preservatives.
Age Range: 24-30 (not photoshopped!)
Clear skin, bright eyes, bushy tail (well maybe not that last one, but - I do have nice shiny hair).
My measurements are always accurate (measured from the fullest part, not shop/dress size).
Height: 5ft 8.4 (.4 makes all the difference!)
I'm obsessed with art and photography.
I'm now a happily married woman (so please respect that fact).
Currently I muse exclusively for 3 photographers, I don't have time for more right now.
I never let vanity hinder my work.
I've turned down Playboy (according to them - that makes me clinically insane).
I rarely make "friend requests" (one per month at most!) so if I ask you - it means I adore you.
I'm an extrovert, expressive, intense, never satisfied... (a perfectionist).
I travel (a lot) so I can be hard to pin down.
I'm currently heading my career towards a more (art) directory role and I will be gradually fazing my commercial modelling out over the next year (but I will continue my art modelling - until I'm as wrinkly as a little-old-prune).
The concepts you see in this portfolio are either my own, or a very close collaboration with the team/photographer.
I rarely need any direction, I perform best when left to my own devices (see above).
Being an art model is my active choice (my passion) not a substitute.
I began my model career as a baby (modelling nappies!)
I thrive on spontaneity.
I love variety.
I talk too much.
WORK ETHIC
When it comes to my artistic work it is my preference to have an ongoing work-relationship with my photographers (rather than working together just the once). I believe a confluence of minds is essential if you wish to create images of any real substance, and from my personal experience this is best achieved when a model and photographer share a mutual intellect and genuine friendship. For this reason I like to meet new photographers prior to working with them (this only applies to my art work, not my agency work - which is totally different altogether).
TRAINING & SKILLS
3 year degree (BA) in acting/dramatic art.
1 year graduate diploma in theatre directing (RADA).
Professionally trained MUA (Jemma Kidd make up school).
Very competent image retoucher/post production - 6 years working experience (high end).
Designer specializing in couture raw silk and antique lace corsets and gowns, please see my portfolio for samples. Just finished a small, but very well received show. Now looking for sponsorship.
Art director for photography/film/theatre - 3 years working experience as an assistant director.
In addition to all that I'm also a freelance writer (Times, Metro, Stage, Grazia).
Please feel free to contact me for more info/references etc.
MAIL
Please excuse me if I take a little-while to reply to e-mails...
I have 4 different jobs within the art industry and I'm also travelling a lot at the moment - so it's hectic! If your mail is time reliant then please mention this in the subject.
If you feel that your mail has been overlooked completely (especially if marked as "unread") then please do write again, don't be afraid you'll be hassling me; perseverance is often necessary - as I genuinely receive a lot of mail each day.
BLAH BLAH
Lists: My lists are very personal, I don't put images in them for the hell of it, so please don't write and ask to be added to one of them - as it makes me feel awkward. Thanks kindly.
Limits: My portfolio reflects what I'm comfortable with.
Models: If you see an image in my portfolio that floats your boat, but it doesn't have a credit, it's because the photographer is not on MM. I can't/won't give out e-mail addresses of the photographers, but I'd be happy to pass your info onto them (it's no trouble).
