new to this site, not necessarily new to photography - but please bear with me as i build a portfolio here!

------------------------------{ PORTFOLIOS, CONTACT }------------------------------
i work as the lead photographer for my studio, Elm Aperture. I've had a camera for ten years, clients for five, and my own practice for two. I've just started building a site - elmapt (dot) com - to host a corporate/business-oriented portfolio. I've also had @raindfwphotos on IG for some time, which features my favourite shoots i've done with models. I've found i like chasing strong colour, tight shots, and layered composition whenever possible.

------------------------------{ WHAT I DO & WHY }------------------------------
Photography for me is a business, though it was first my hobby and interest. Before that, as I was just starting out in 2014, i learned how to use cameras to record music videos for my bands. This is still my favourite thing to shoot, and i'll often film for artists at low or no cost, if i like their music enough.

I make my money through b2b shoots, mostly real estate and commercial videos. I take my work seriously and i love bringing client's goals successfully to life - but it's not the area for me to be creative lol.
Conversely, i've not found much money in shooting models, but aside from being aesthetically and creatively rewarding, i've found a page full of vibrant portraits does more to attract real estate clients than even a page of real estate photos!

------------------------------{ WHAT I'LL SHOOT }------------------------------
If it's a paid job, anything. Photo and video start at $100 for the first hr, then $50/hr for every hour after that. There's not much i haven't shot or worked with - consultations are always free and i will let you know honestly if i believe i can capture what you're looking for.

------------------------------{ WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR }------------------------------
This section could also be titled 'what i'll do for free or cheap.' Please check my site, in particular 'lifestyle', 'headshots', and 'professional'. You'll notice gaps - if you can help me fill those in, i'll work for as cheap as we can manage. Free if there's no associated costs.

Also, if there's a category you think i'm lacking, let me know, and if it would help out my portfolio/marketing, we could go free/cheap on that shoot as well. Although i say my default price starts at $100, anything that makes your shoot interesting or useful to me could bring that price down.

For example - i've not done much automotive or sports photography, and wouldn't feel comfortable charging ANY amount for those yet. So those would be two shoots i'd be happy to do for free.
