Freelance photojournalist, now looking to build my portfolio for fashion, glamor and art photography. My name is John Green. My shooting style is to capture emotion, energy and spontaneity as opposed to a posed studio look.
For me, this is a creative, artistic endeavor, and I love to work with other creative people. Always trying to find that elusive, incredibily beautiful OMG shot. Models interested in my style of work are encouraged to contact me and see if we have the chemistry to create a great shoot.
SHOOTS:
My shooting style is very interactive and spontaneous. Your creative contribution is essential to the energy that produces results we will both be proud of. We will have agreed on the theme or concept of the shoot in advance. You are encouraged to make a positive contribution to the design of the shoot.
For you very qualified, experienced models with whom I will be shooting, please understand the following is probably not meant for you. If the shoe fits.
Since we have agreed on the theme ahead of time with your input, please do not stand in front of the camera and ask what do I want you to do. You must know what moves and poses you want captured, consistent with our theme, before you show up. This is not a Lesson. If you want lessons, hire somebody. I can suggest several very qualified people for you to work with. I need to understand what you expect out of the shoot in more detail than "some nice pictures".
The model is responsible for an approved MUA. No boyfriends at shoots, yours or the MUA's. I do not want any more BF's leaning over my shoulder with a camera phone taking pictures while I am shooting. To those few of you with well behaved BF's, you know what they say about one bad apple. Sorry.
I am picky about what images of mine make it out of the studio. This is an artistic effort, not a production line. We will agree on which few shots of each look are the best ones. I will pick a few of what I consider to be the very best images to process and finish. This takes upwards of two hours per image. (That is why you pay for the MUA.) After processing, you will receive two versions of each finished image: one web sized, and one 8x10 high res print image size. Your signed model release is a shoot requirement, and I will give you a "Right To Use" for your non-commercial use of my images. If you want "all" of the images from the shoot, hire me.
Having said all of that, please know that the shoot will be fun, low key, relaxed and creative.
