I don't want to achieve immortality through my work. I want to achieve it through not dying.
- Woody Allen
Thank you for visiting my profile and my Model Mayhem portfolio.
I strongly urge you to take a little extra time to visit my website (linked above); it encompasses much more of my photography than MM.
I earned my Bachelor or Fine Arts degree in 1989, with a concentration in art history and sculpting, having studied practical and historical photography along the way. I also have post graduate degrees in the jewelers arts and gemology which act as testaments to my keen eye, attention to detail. I cut my teeth shooting and developing film, but have since transitioned to digital. As you look at my photographic work, you will see I strive to depict dramatic, dynamic contrasty themes and lighting as seen in the art of the Renaissance, Mannerist and Baroque movements. Although not prevalent in all my photographs, it is what I'm ultimately after.
Who I'm looking for:
Working with fun free spirits is ideal for me. Those of you who know how to be laid back while still having a blast, well, you ROCK my multiverse! If you are in this for the love of the art, please contact me!
A quick heads-up:
I view my inquiries to models and staff as part of the screening process and gauge your interest and enthusiasm by timely replies; It's very much a job interview... like any audition for a role in a movie or play. Also, I take pride in my attention to detail and quality; I usually spend at least six hours shooting and much longer editing and retouching! If you are looking for anything less, you're looking at rushed work and you have the wrong photographer. ;-)
I hope I can help as you continue to pursue your goals!
Give me a shout!
