A great photograph expresses something that is true.
Whatever that truth, whatever the technical qualities, a
great photograph reveals something which may not have
been obvious before, but which makes the viewer say
"Why didn't I see that before?". The technical qualities
don't really matter when the overall effect of the photograph
is to generate that question and that feeling that it is something
never understood before by the viewer.
