I’m originally from Michigan, but I learned photography in Japan. I graduated from the Hallmark Institute of Photography in the top of my class, and moved right to the non-stop challenges of New York City. Now I’ve produced work used by companies like Adidas, The Evolution Store, and Benihana’s of Tokyo.
I try to spend as much time out of the city as I can, getting back to my roots in the outdoors while dragging as many cameras with me as possible. Skiing, hiking, biking or climbing, the more bumps and bruises, the better.
When I’m not out on an expedition, I like working with the artistic intricacies of aviation, in the air and on the ground. My office chair is an ejection seat. The handle still works.
I never turn down a challenge, and I’ve found most solutions are in the often-overlooked simplicity. A light touch can achieve far more than a baseball bat, but you still have to know when to swing.
