"...the Annie Leibovitz of steampunk portraiture" --Gareth Branwyn of MAKE Magazine
"I love the saturation level on your images; the colors are so brilliant. The food images could sell bottled water to a drowning man." --Kyshah Hell of Morbid Outlook Magazine
"[Libby photographs] all things technolovely and neobeautiful" --Utilikilts
RECENT:
Currently a professional graphic designer, photographer, and videographer, I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Indiana University in English Literature and Telecommunications Design and Production. I also run ExoskeletonCabaret.com, a small business devoted to wearable art.
You may have seen my projects on various blogs such as Boing Boing, WarrenEllis.com, Wired. com, Diesel Sweeties, CRAFT, MAKE, the Webomator Blog, Street Tech, Genderfork, and Etsy's The Storque. I also write, edit, and illustrate for Steampunk Magazine.
My work synthesizes art and craft, retrospect and innovation. It subtly fabricates impossibly wondrous worlds out of the discarded and forgotten in order to resurrect a glorious future.
I look to build a portfolio of images that display models creatively, building on natural, -real- beauty with extraordinary costumes and makeup/hairstyles of epic proportions. I play with the grey areas that nest between binaries. I'm intrigued by the bizarre and comical. I love shooting smart and strong people of all sizes with anomalous features. During a shoot with me, you will emote, you will have fun, and you will discover aspects of yourself forgotten or unknown.
I have photography studio space in Pioneer Square, Seattle, or I can work on location. At this point, I shoot digital images only. I will trade CDs with edited images or prints for your time, though other forms of compensation can be discussed. Paid shoots are great!

I am also available to do hair and makeup as well as take photos. Sometimes I can even be coerced into sitting for images myself.
I am not interested in Suicide Girls photo sets and I will not take distasteful or unintelligent images. I'm really rather bored with the cliches of fetish photography. I am glad to do more traditional imagery or family shoots on request, though I tend to prefer the unconventional.
Recently, I've taken on a plethora of steampunk-themed projects and I am very comfortable doing portraits within this milieu. I also specialize in photographing bellydancers.
