NATIVE to Los Angeles Shannon Jones, (21) sits in his apartment with a bottle of water and a GQ magazine. "Modeling has always been a career I was very
interested in, but I didn't know how to get started nor did i have
the support of my parents, my mother is very academic and wanted me to go to
school... and school only" laughing as he ends the statement. With a very exotic look
Shannon comes from Parents of African American, Japanese, and Native American
descent. Now being moved out and emancipated from the legalistic strongholds of
his parents blueprints for success, shannon has some thinking to do and some
choices to make "Once I moved out after turning 19 I knew I had time to figure
out what I wanted to do, and what I wanted to do was sing, but modeling was
calling me" The slightly nervous, 6'1, chinky-eyed model studies the high
fashion Euro models featured in the GQ mag. "It was all I'd hear from people
you should model, do you model?, you would make a hot model if you play your cards right, even kids said things like I like your face ! I thought about
how I just didn't get the same responses for my singing as I did for my features, so I looked at my cards and was ready to play" admitting
that he didn't really take modeling serious in the begining it was the realisation of potential that got Jones
back on the ball, doing everything necessary to be the best model he could. He's young, vibrant, playful, humble, and great to look at... The whole
package, everything the fashion industry would ask for, and It wouldn't
be a surprise if Shannon becomes as successful as Tyson Beckford, who just so
happens to be rookies Inspiration and role model "I think Tyson has had a very
successful longevic career I mean it speaks for itself and I would like to
follow in his footsteps you know, making a name for myself as a model and in the
fashion world" Jones is still in the early stages of his career, working twords
his big break which shouldn't be too far off shore,
with shannon's attractive personality and networking efforts the goals he wishes to accomplish are in arms
reach as he begins his journey to the runways of all the fashion capitals of the
world.......
