I always had a thing for playing dress up. In my younger years, I just about ran through every bottle of Aqua-net in Texas practicing on my sisters for the perfect hot-roller set. I started sewing dresses on dolls. I sewed them ON the dolls. Once your dress was finished you were retired. After training on my 4 sisters (and one brother), I quickly moved up into worked in the community theather and fundraising for my local highschool.
After finding my home and community here in LA, I rekindled a few of those flames and planted my roots in the local arts and activism.
I offer full creative services in hair, make-up and wardrobe styling, as well as salon services and session styling. I love my time in the classroom, and as I strive always to be a better teacher, I thrive on remaining a good student and expanding my craft. I enjoy appearances on TV and the web as well as an expanding fashion and editorial protfolio, and am always connected to my theatrical roots.
I love to affect change; externally, of course, but internally, too, sometimes when I'm lucky--for a day or for life. A thing of beauty can stop time, stop you in your tracks, and stop your breath. My imagination is wired for high-voltage.
