I'm Ryo
(pronounced Ree-yuh):
Stats: 25yo, 5'8" tall, slim built, brown eyed, caramel-skinned, Jamaican national.
Who am I: Emerging fashion designer, creative director and stylist who hails from the Caribbean island of Jamaica. I have loved clothes and fashion all my life and I now intend to to make it my life's PROFESSION.
As a stylist, I prefer to do so for editorial/print or photographic purposes. I like telling stories through my work therefore when styling, I tend to play a lot with characterization, moods, themes and trends. A good editorial/fashion story for me is one that is well planned, has a cohesive theme and results in me getting some strong images. I'm influenced by strong detail, texture, lines, angles, proportion and shapes and I try as much as possible to reflect this in my work. My trademark is producing work that is rich in detail but remains simple and honest. I dislike anything contrived or pretentious. My other unique style is that I like to juxtapose opposites. Austere tailored pieces matched with loose fluid shapes, modern with classic pieces, masculine with the feminine - a style most persons are unable to achieve but I make it work. My personal style in itself is quite fashionable - fitted, with an urban sensibility.
Looking for: Models - I must say that I prefer working with girls who are slender built, 5'9" and taller. So right now while I'm building my port and my network of contacts, I'm only interested in working with girls/models who are represented by an Agency or look like they can be Agency represented. I may however make exceptions for those having a striking face or body (for beauty or parts stories).
Photographers - Photographers with strong fashion knowledge and aesthetic. I don't do glamour or fetish.
I'm also interested in meeting and NETWORKING with other
*fashion stylists, *fashion agents, makeup artists, retouchers and magazine editors

Compensation: I'm open to both paid and unpaid work at this time, however tests and collaborative efforts (TF*s) will only be considered if they are serious and can prove mutually beneficial.
