most photographers dream about being published by magazines, exhibiting photographs in a public gallery, gaining recognition amongst peers in the industry for the quality of their photography, and eventually having their own studio.
but this is difficult to achieve, especially when starting out in the industry. with little experience and few previous clients, it can be difficult to portray how talented a photographer one might be.
promoting myself and my studio is therefore important in attracting, and creating opportunities for working together with new clients.
without the worldwide web, promoting myself and my studio to a worldwide audience would not be possible without the budget for an expensive advertising campaign.
i have been passionate about photography since 2004. turned my passion into a profession in 2007.
under the expert tuition of bob moore, i attended "making a start" courses at jessops school of photography, in 2004.
i attended "making a start" courses in studio photography, flash and portraiture, glamour and figure.
the "making a start" courses have a reputation second to none, combining discussions and demonstrations with hands on experience.
i attended "fashion photography 1" course at london college of fashion, which is part of the university of the arts, in 2005.
the "fashion photography 1" course covered lighting techniques, directing models and co-ordinating a creative team of stylists from london college of fashion's specialist courses.
throughout 2006, i assisted other professional photographers, working on commissions for magazines, corporate clients and even worked as a photographer at the brushstrokes make up school, at shepperton film studios.
i have been fortunate enough to assist dave wise, danny bourne and ross perkins.
i am currently building a client base of photographers, models, creatives and corporates for my london studio.
together with my creative team i am also shooting models for my studio model register, which covers fashion, glamour and alternative.
the studio is also preparing to offer clients photography holidays overseas in 2008, starting with tuscany and sardegna in italy.
in 2008 i have, go sees, with several independent magzines and other corporate clients which i hope will lead to commissions and even more published photographs.
i will also be working on a project aimed exclusively at celebrity pictures syndication, which will involve several published models, tv personalities, and singer/songwriters.
my photographs have been published in several magazines on numerous occassions, including the royal photographic society journal, photography monthly, max power, jewish quarterly and several local newspapers and fashion supplements.
i have also photographed products and memorabilia for several corporate catalogues and websites.
my photographs appear on numerous websites on the internet, including model and model agency websites such as supermodel, sugarbabes, and acclaim.
i have also assisted other professional photographers working on commissions for magazines such as real, scarlet and eve.
