05-07-2012: I am dealing with family health issues and as a result, my free time has said "Bye bye!" I don't see any model shooting happening in the near future. :(
I am the owner of a boutique Chicago studio specializing in weddings and events. This is not your stereotypical wedding photography. On the side, for fun, I like to experiment with posing, lighting and post-production.
Louisville, KY! I find myself in the 'ville many times per year as I have a 101 year old grandmother and a plethora of relatives, friends and muses who reside there.
Feel free to leave an image comment if something strikes your fancy. Many of the people represented in my port are friends and family and would love to see what you think.
My preference is for images of a darker nature. Words that have been used to describe my work include gritty, dark, stark, real, urban, dirty, unreal, art-porn, detailed, modern.
I prefer scheduling shoots at my home studio, that way, if the model flakes, at least I vacuumed, dusted, picked up the dog's toys and cleaned the windows. I may not have any photos at the end of the day, but my fiance is quite pleased with the cleaner state of affairs.
If I send a friend request it means I am interested in working with you. I see this as an easy way to manage contacts.
After an hour of sifting through portfolios, I did a purge of deleted/removed models from my friends list. I got pretty good at spotting which ones no longer existed by the quality of their avatar pic. It seems models with amateur/point and shoot/P-mode DSLR photos in their portfolio got frustrated with not seeing their attempts at modeling come to fruition. If you have professional photos in your portfolio, you will be taken much more seriously as a model. Please contact me for my rates.
